I’m glad to know that PEACE WALK FOR ANIMALS is going to take place again this year, both in Tokyo (Oct.4th) and in Osaka (Oct.5th). This is a demonstration to be staged by the STOP ANIMAL TEST CAMPAIGN, which is a group of people dedicated to the reduction, refinement, and replacement of animal testing.

I am totally in support of PEACE WALK FOR ANIMALS 2003, hoping that it will help raise people’s awareness of animal testing for cosmetics and toiletries, which must be abolished in the near future. Testing methods to ensure the safety and efficiency of cosmetics and toiletries must change, and finding new methods to reduce the number of animals tested, ultimately to abolish cruel tests and to release all helpless creatures in laboratory, is mandatory.

I hope that PEACE WALK FOR ANIMALS 2003 will be even more successful than last year and that everyone in Japan will realize the useless torture of animals could be avoided. There are alternatives.
